Sitting waiting for my homestead to sell has given me far too much time to think. I think about the animals we have had and the animals we would like to have. I consider types of fencing we have used and what we may use in a new location. I look at dozens of houses online and wonder if any of them will be where we live next. I have tried many different types of growing techniques for all of our garden favorites and I think, often, about the differences I face growing in Colorado.
Occasionally I think about our long term goals and what we would like our homestead to do for us. I have read about Amish farming practices and think there is a lot of promise for long term growth. I watch videos of permaculture techniques and feel those could fit our family well.
When it comes right down to it, I am obsessing about the possibilities. Waiting is always the hardest part of any transition.
