How to Grow a Homestead

We’re going to have  a new dinner on the menu, tonight.  King snake on the grill.

So, I believe in eating from our land, but I am also a proponent for leaving nature alone.  There must be an exception, however, and this snake found it.  He or she was found entering our chicken coop searching for a meal.  Had we simply moved it away from the coop it would have returned.  And we cannot accept this activity around our kids.  So, onto the grill.

The stickler is that I was not overly excited about this development, but the girls are, so who can stop momentum.

We’ll see how it all turns out.
